Breaking the Cycle of Dysfunction (13 Week Group Therapy Series)
Group Therapy Series - Breaking the Cycle of Dysfunction
August 21st ~ November 13th
Does your family history contain dysfunctional relational patterns you want to avoid repeating?
Our Breaking the Cycle of Dysfunction therapy group will help you understand, identify, and to the degree the cycle is at work in your life, begin to change the process of reproduced family dysfunction. You will learn to identify how past experience is damaging your current relationships with God, others, and yourself and discover solutions to help you work toward healthy relationship restoration.
The 13-week group therapy series is based on the workbook Breaking the Cycle of Hurtful Family Relationships, and the book is included in the price to attend and will be provided to you.
We will meet once a week for 90 minutes on Wednesday mornings from 10:30 AM to 12:00 noon.
To get the very most from this group, individuals are encouraged to work through a portion of the book for five days each week. Daily work may require between 30 and 60 minutes..
The goal of this group is to bring individuals through the healing process from the wounds of dysfunction, and bring a clear sense of identity. This is accomplished by learning:
- The causes and symptoms of the cycle of dysfunction
- Some of the substitutions for healthy family relationships
- The stages of human development and how they affect our lives and our parenting
- How to develop healthy relationships
- To analyze and understand your family
- To build a strong relationship with God
- To model God’s character to your children
- To respond in a positive way to those who have wounded you
Please join us for this unique group therapy session where you can receive guidance and insight to your unique situation. You will be part of a safe and respectful discussion that can bring healing and liberation.
