Understanding the Anger in Me
Anger impacts every aspect of life. Over time we may have developed unhealthy patterns that we want to change. Learn how to overcome unhealthy patterns that damage your personal and professional relationships. Develop insights that will help you change your reactions to healthy responses, change your way of thinking and behavior to improve you and your relationships! With the assistance of The Anger Workbook, each participant will grow in understanding his/her anger and in wisdom to manage it. Don't Let Anger Take Control! (From The Anger Workbook)
The 13-week group therapy series is based on The Anger Workbook. Please purchase this book ahead of time (available on Amazon) and bring it to the first session.
We all deal with anger in our lives, whether it be in a subtle or violent manner. Being angry can involve such emotional expressions as frustration, irritability, annoyance, aggravation, blowing off steam, or fretting. The good news is anger can be managed. In The Anger Workbook Les Carter, Ph.D. and Frank Minirth, M.D., offer a unique 13-step interactive program that will help you:
- Identify the best ways to handle anger
- Understand how pride, fear, loneliness, and inferiority feed your anger
- Uncover and eliminate the myths that perpetuate anger such as, "Letting go of my anger means I am conceding defeat" or "No one understands my unique problems."
- Identify learned patterns or relating, thinking, and behaving in your life that influence your anger.
