Karen Reeves, MA, LPC
Karen Reeves is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Missouri. Karen enjoys journeying with clients in discovering who they were meant to be. Described in literature across time, coming home to the true self is illusive. Stories such as The Wizard of Oz, The Odyssey, and The Prodigal Son show that home is difficult to recognize, to find, and to remain in once found. Karen enjoys helping clients uncover the patterns that perpetuate anxiety, guilt, anger, and depression. These patterns cover underlying losses, messages, and unmet needs that are the key to healing.
Karen relies on personality typing systems including Enneagram and tools similar to MBTI to better understand the challenges her clients face and their strengths, along with what they need to grow and live a purposeful life.
Karen works with clients experiencing relationship and engagement anxiety, social anxiety, anxiety related to transitions, depression, grief, anger management issues, and self-rejection. In addition, Karen works with clients experiencing trauma and PTSD, including partners of sex addicts.
Karen uses experiential methods with clients to facilitate deep healing. Many of Karen’s clients benefit from EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), in which she has completed advanced training.
Karen is an Enneagram CP Certified Professional.
