Dr. Mark Mehlig, DMin, LCSW
Mark is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Missouri and recently earned his Doctor of Ministry in Pastoral Counseling at Liberty University. He is an ordained minister in the Free Methodist denomination and served 16 years as the Caring Ministries Pastor at Calvary Church. He has over 35 years of experience as a counselor and family therapist including the St. Louis chemical dependency unit and Employee Assistance Professional for BJC Healthcare. As an EAP he has served a wide variety of clients including MLB teams St. Louis Cardinals and Texas Rangers providing debriefing, crisis counseling, and training. Mark’s specialties include grief support, trauma, depression, chemical dependency, anger management, and marriage and family counseling. He is certified as a trauma counselor and Suicide Prevention Specialist and has completed the group hours for the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists at Washington University. Dr. Mehlig is also an EMDRIA trained and approved EMDR therapist (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).
Mark has a passion for helping individuals from all walks of life and values the diversity and unique perspective each one brings to the counseling session and their journey to recovery. Working as a team, Mark and his clients develop a plan to set personal goals that are meaningful and achievable. Mark believes having a relationship with Christ is the most important factor to provide strength, love and hope for healing. Faith can bring us through the most difficult situations we face.
