Carolyn Tinker, MA, LPC, NCC

Carolyn Tinker is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She received her Bachelor’s degree in English from University of Missouri St. Louis and her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Richmont Graduate University in Chattanooga, TN. She also attained certificates in Marriage and Family Therapy and Christian Sex Therapy.

Carolyn operates from a systems way of thinking. She believes that there are many aspects that can affect each individual and exploring these aspects best helps the individual. She uses therapies such as CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, EFT with couples and other modalities. She works with children ages 10 and up, adolescents, individuals, couples and families. Carolyn has experience working with anxiety, depression, divorce, marital separation, premarital counseling, marriage counseling, sexual issues including addiction, affairs, pornography, abuse and LGBTQ+, grief and other situations that may arise.

Carolyn has over 10 years of experience working in the education field with children, adolescents and adults. She has worked as an "English as a Second Language" Teacher with people from all over the world. She enjoys helping people move from where they are to where they want to be. She believes that life takes each of us on a journey and that journey will be filled with peaks and valleys. It is during those peaks and valleys that she can step in to help guide each person to move forward and grow with what life has to offer.

Carolyn spends her free time with her family, friends, son and dog Munchkin.
